Nano-Acrylic Paint for Renewing External Thermal Insulation Surfaces

Description

Ultra-durable mat innovative NANO Acrylic paint based on TRIBRID NANO Technology (Silica – Acrylic – Silicone) for renewal of external thermal insulation surfaces. It does not affect the texture of the plaster, as it does not ﬁ ll the gaps between the granules. It offers high vapor permeability, quick evaporation of moisture from the surface, very low water absorption, well brighter colours which are looking fresher due to its unique Dirt Pick Up resistance and anti-soiling tendency ﬁghts out inorganic, organic and biological pollutants. Due to its strong inorganic character the painted surface dries fast after rainfall and provides breathability. It prevents the growth of fungi (such as mold, etc.) and algae in the paint ﬁlm according to EN 15457 and EN 15458 standards. It has excellent adhesion, very good workability and levelling. Delays in application due to extreme weather conditions are avoided and the painting season is extended. Granikot Refresh offers very high added value to the building due to lower renovation cost and longer lifetime as well as very low carbon footprint in its life cycle. It is certiﬁed according to the EN 1504-2 standard as a coating for surface protection of concrete. Granikot Refresh is a certiﬁed as a cool paint characterized by high solar reﬂectance value (SR), high infrared emittance (ε) and highreﬂectance index value (SRI).

Preparation - Application

Surfaces should be clean and dry, free from grease, dust, mold, salts, loose or ﬂaking paint. Best results are ensured by using a washing machine. Granikot Refresh is applied directly to clean and in good condition organic plaster surfaces (e.g. Granikot Acrylic, Granikot Silicone).

On external thermal insulation systems that have been repaired and after washing mold and dirt remain, apply GRANIKOT PRIMER diluted 10-15% v/v.

Cement plasters must be primed with Acrylan Unco Eco.

APPLICATION

Dilute up to 10% with water and stir well before use. Apply the ﬁrst coat by brush, roller or airless spray gun. Recoat after after 1-2 hours. Apply even when air, surface and material temperature ranges from 5°C to 45°C for 50%RH. Maximum application relative humidity 80%. The use of Granikot Refresh signiﬁ cantly reduces the drying and recoat time. Touch dry is 30-45 minutes and recoat time 1-2 h at 25°C and 50% relative humidity. Drying and recoat times are temperature, humidity, wind and ﬁ lm thickness dependent. The application of the paint can be completed 30-60 minutes before the appearance of rain or dew depending on the shade (from 5°C and above and relative humidity 50-70%). Cooler temperatures and higher humidity level can increase the rain readiness time.
