Elastomeric Roof Coating

Description

Excellent acrylic waterprooﬁng coating with great elasticity, ideal for roofs. It creates a uniform, elastic, waterproof sealing layer, without forming seams or joints. It has very good adhesion to every masonry surface (concrete, brick, wood, metal, etc.) and excellent resistance to adverse weather conditions and UV radiation while retaining its elasticity. It offers energy savings and improvement of energy performance of the building by decreasing the roof temperature. Vitacryl (white) is certiﬁ ed from the University of Athens, department of Physics as a cool material for roofs characterized by high solar reﬂectance value (SR), high infrared emittance (ε) and high reﬂectance index value (SRI).

Certiﬁed from the University of Athens, Department of Physics, as a cool material for roofs with the following properties:
• Initial Total Solar Reflectance SR=0.87 (300-2500nm) (ASTM 903-96 and ASTM G 159-98)
• Infrared Emittance Factor ˛ = 0.88 (ASTM E 408-71 2002)
• Solar Reflectance Index SRI = 110 (ASTM 903-96 and ASTM G 159-98)

PREPARATION - APPLICATION

SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces should be smooth, clean and dry, free from grease, dust, loose or flaking paint.
Cracks or joints should first be filled with Elastomeric Putty.
Surfaces should be primed with Durovit diluted up to 30% with Brush Solvent T 300, for the stabilization of the substrate.

APPLICATION
Stir well before use. Apply cross-wise two coats, allowing 24-48 hours between each coat application, by roller, brush or airless spray gun diluted up to 5-10% with water for the first coat. Apply the second coat without dilution. Do not apply at temperature below 5°C, above 35°C and / or relative humidity above 70%. Avoid application when rain or frost is expected in the next 48 hours.
It is touch-dry after 2-3 hours and can be recoated after 24-48 hours. Drying time depends on weather conditions (humidity and temperature).
Tools must be cleaned immediately after use with water and if needed with soapy water or a detergent.
